Fire Prevention Week

Every year, the National Fire Protection Association puts together a theme for fire prevention week. This occurs during the first week in October. The Ralston Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. hosts an open house pancake feed where the public is invited to come into the fire station, meet firefighters and eat a good breakfast. Also, the department reaches out to local kids groups and schools to help stress the importance of fire safety.
